The key part of breaking rules is to know what problems might arise. In the case of globals, you get a script which is harder to track down where problems occur.&lt;/i&gt;

		<description>Sometimes it helps to use globals, but not use them all the time. A good programmer knows when it&#039;s best to use them. Look at Wordpress code for example. They use them to help with their codex. Don&#039;t use them with sensative data of course.</description>
